Been popping by occasionally hoping to keep abreast of new developments. Continually hoping Sheepshaver will someday fix the half-speed problem with DF but have a PM 9500 to run DF on otherwise :-/

Seems like the DarkXL editor would be a good way to bring interest back to the Open Project. Would be a good test ground for new mapping features that DarkXL will be able to handle.

Forgot about that minor detail with hardware and 16-bit. VMWare only runs DirectX in Vista and XP so I'll stick to booting in Windows for now...at least until VMWare fixes their 8 bit color bug.

In the DF days I was right hand on the arrow keys left on control/z/x/c. Now it's left hand on the arrow keys and num 0/. with right hand on the mouse. Here here to arrow keys.

Has anyone had trouble setting key commands? When I first opened the program I had no trouble, but now when I click each command to set it jumps to Ins and I can't reset the command to anything else.

Odd bug... when I click a key command to set it, it changes to INS. The command doesn't stay highlighted when I release the mouse, just sets to INS soon as I click it.

Quick question on laser blasts, are there any plans to make the strength of laser blasts weaken with distance? The farther they travel they drop to 9 damage then 8 damage... possibly more beyond that ...
