Been outa editing for a while (read: 4 years) - is WDFUSE still the newest editor? I seem to recall another one being made more recently which was less newbie friendly but worked better in general.
I also recall there being some .3do import/export plugins for lightwave - and some convienient Bmp - BM converters taht weren't DOS dependent.
Thanks for any help

There is Wedit, but I'd stick with WDFUSE.
The lightwave plugin and photoshop plugin are both by Mattias Welander. I don't think we have them available for download here, but we should, as they a re very handy.

Right, so who must I pay/kidnap/kill in order to get a hold of those files?
ANd I was positive there was a newer editor than wdfuse, but perhaps my brain is playing games with me. Ah well.

Well Mattias Welander was in the process of creating one called CDark, though I reckon that he must have abandoned it. Pity. I got a chance to use it once and it was really great. Far better than any of the current editors we have available to us.

CDark sounds about right... a pity none of these tools are still around. Damn.
I suppose I can live without Cdark if I have to, though running on Win2000 alot of the DOS utilities are difficult to get working- not to mention creating 3dos by hand is lame... if anyone has a copy of the BM or .3do plugins, I'd be very appreciative for copies of them. I'd really like to produce another level or two, but with limited tools there's only so fast I can go.
