Wow, really nice! For a few screens there, it felt a bit like BIG BROTHER STORMY IS WATCHING YOU.

Nice one Jackson. Yeah 1984 was the inspiration behind that. Those posters are all over the place.

Stunning. It's really got that Coruscant vertical look, I love the detailed vertical textures and all the alcoves and balconies.

Having played through this puppy, I can say it's very pretty, and has a few tricks up its sleeve as well.

Does this mean we can expect to play it in a few weeks? Wink

Looks great. If those signs animate, then that'll be really disorienting. Glad I have an iron stomach.

Actually most of them are static (for the moment anyway). There are a few that spin and a few that flicker and a few animations.
At the moment I'm working on a something similar blown up version of the chess game Chewie and R2 were playing on the Millenium Falcon. I't won't be interactive unfortunately, but it should provide something nice to look at.

It may be still awesome now, but it was first awesome over a year ago, and it continued to be awesome even when noone posted on it and it sank through the thread list, and we knew it was awesome even before you dredged it up... umm...

What I'm trying to say is, please don't post on threads that are over a month or so old. I find it terribly annoying, and I know I'm not the only one. Sad

The date stamp on your post says it's well over a month late. Compare the date of your first post with the date of the post above it.

Look at it from my perspective. If you scroll up you'll see I posted in this thread when it first appeared. Now, I see this same thread again over a year later, thinking it's a new thread. But it's not. And that tends to annoy me. And then I see who is responsible for my annoyance.

It's universally considered proper forum etiquette not to post in "dead" threads. I'm just trying to be nice here, don't yell at me.

Again I'm sorry for any controversy. yes the new posts would be great. And it was the 1st time I have seen these shots since I just joined at the time. I really wanted to just join the discussion knowing that it hasn't been active for a while. But again I apologize.

Well, milo_antu is new to this board so why couldn't he post and express his amazement when finding out the DT IV screenshots? I'm glad this dead thread was revived as a reminder of the great job that was done so far. I had forgotten a large part of it since it was originally posted.

It was worth the wait! The civilians fit in real nice, and all those new textures are spot on. First set of screenshots in your post aren't appearing, though.

Edit: nevermind, they are now. Astonishing.

Rather nice; I'm starting to see some of the better "urban" elements of feel that I found in Assassination on Nar Shaada. Coupled with some of the themes that I remember from Jeff Walter's original "Xixor's Palace" map, I'm liking what I see, yes I am.

This is out of this world, I especially like the dimmed floor reflections - every now and then I get fascinated by what DF engine is actually capable of rendering (combined with an innovative designer, that is).
Looking very much forward to the release!

I'm so glad there are some fantastic looking levels for me to look forward to.

Now that I'm on an Intel iMac with no pre-Mac OS X compatibility, I'm mourning the loss of the higher-res Mac DF (although honestly it wasn't working that well on my iMac G5). It would have made this stuff look even better!

I'll have to see if I can either get classic Mac OS emulation working, or get DF DOS working in Windows in Boot Camp or Parallels.

It works okay, but I still rather miss the Mac Hi Res version...

But enough of that, these still looks terrific, even in low res! I can hardly wait until the full release!

I am still stuck without my PC in Canada, so I won't be able to beta test it for awhile.
