The links aren't working in the Demos section of downloads. Does anyone have these files or know where I can find them. I wanted to run through those demos again.

As it happens I've got a copy of the Naboo demo, so that link is working again.
Not sure where the TDOR one is though.
I'll dig through my backup CDs and re-upload it if I find it, but in the meantime if anyone else does have a copy then please chuck it in the DF-21 laundry chute (and post here), and I'll see to it.

While on the topic, I noticed that John Johnston's Reunion II isn't on the site. Should I upload that?

There's a difference. The one on DF-21 is Part 4. Reunion II is Part 5. The levels have the same story, but the levels are completely different.
He was such an odd author.
EDIT: Actually, the level on DF-21 is Reunion II, the first version of Reunion is missing. I think it should be uploaded, because the the two levels are completely different.

Hey everyone, been a long time. I tried the Battle for Naboo demo and when I run the level I get a red screen with the message "unable to load all items in cutscene 'logo'". The mouse is a Naboo fighter, so some things must be working but the only thing you can do click OK and then it closes.
I put all the files included with the zip in the dark folder when I go to run it. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Are these files maybe old or corrupted, or is maybe a file missing or something? If anyone else has tried this level let me know how it ran for you. Otherwise if anyone has any suggestions please help.
Thanks!

Thanks Fenwar.
Nikana, I ran the level and I got the same message. I was able to open and explore the level, though. Were you? If you can't run the level with the LFDs then just run the level without them. It should work.

Hey thanks for the input, Veteran...how did you run the level? I tried putting just the GOB and the BAT in my dark directory and all was fine until the DF/credits screen led into the player select screen then it crashes. Any thoughts?

I ran it in DosBox since I have Windows Vista. It's the only way I can run DF and since I've had DosBox I haven't had any of the problems that I've had in the past with any levels, like crashing. What machine are you playing on?
Try deleting the JEDI.LVL file from the NABOO1.GOB file with Container Manager. That's the only file that I saw in the GOB that affects the Agent Menu screen.
I messed around with a couple of the files in the LFDs and a few of them are corrupted. That's why the opening credits won't play, but I don't know why the others won't work.

Thanks for the tip about deleting the jedi.lvl file. I was able to play the level after doing so.
Pretty decent, I like the care that was taken in creating so many weapon patches and extra fme's/waxes/etc to help give the feeling of being a guard on Naboo.

I've always wondered, how did the author make the map shrink? When I hit tab for the overhead map it always shrinks so that I can't see it. I always wondered if the demo has an ending, too. I never got a "Mission Objectives Complete" message.

I was wondering the same thing, my map would never come up when I hit tab either. Makes me wonder if I actually saw the entire level or not, since its hard to gauge w/out a map. Does this have anything to do w/ deleting jedi.lvl?
I never saw "mission complete" either, I got bored after a while of running around and not knowing where to go/if there was anywhere else to go without a map.

I don't think so. It's only that level that the map shrinks. No other user-made or original level does that.

...and now it's broken again. Palaceness.zip reuploaded, along with theedemo.zip.

No idea, but it does the same thing for me. I also couldn't use lapostal. I wonder if it's somehow related to the fact that the zip replaces agentmnu.lfd and menu.lfd. (Also, for the record, I tried it under DOSBox under Windows XP.)

Actually, I think "Part 5" is just how it's listed on TACC; the readme in the actual zip calls it Part 4, meant to replace the old Part 4.

I think I can dig up my old archives and get the TDOR stuff back up. Anyone who needs files from the old days give me a poke on msn.
