Not only does the stormtrooper icon look better, but stormtroopers are far more iconic, literally, and will attract more people. Only DF players know what a dark trooper is, everyone knows what a stormtrooper is.

I agree with Emon, and anyway, stormtroopers show up about a hundred times on each level, the dark troopers only a few times. Also, this particular dark trooper photo just looks too "pretty" and not enough evil and menacing . . .

Yeah, you can have multiple icons in one exe . . . I have a lot of games that do that. For example, Command & Conquer 3's default icon is the GDI logo, but it also has icons for the other two sides you can play as in the game. And even if lucius doesn't include the other icons, we can always just manually override it ourselves if we don't like it
