Hi!
Ive not been here for a while and I see you have a new forum. Would it be possible for me to launch my own Jedi Knight 1 (DF2) forum on this site? I sometimes do some editing on it. I once saw someone with their own forum about a multiplayer DF.

Well, DF-21 is geared primarily (and basically solely) for Dark Forces... however, there are other websites for JK players and editors: for example, The Admiral's Command Chamber is a good site which caters to the entire DF/JK series (DF, JK & MotS, JO and now JA). They're a pretty close-knit and productive community.
There's also Massassi.Net, which focuses on all games in the JK series besides DF, and JediKnight.Net which includes all the games in the DF/JK series... in fact, they even have their own forum for DF!
[EDIT: I just realized you'd have to be signed up at jediknight.net's forums in order to access that last link. Whoops!]

Up until our last server crashed (and the previous forums went down), we did have a section for a DF Multiplayer project which (I believe) was headed by DarthDoctor. The project, at the moment, is temporarily on hold, and the forum dedicated to it is offline until work starts up again.

Jedi Knight isnt that bad.
*dodges rotten fruit*
I actually like it. I personally like it because of the MODs. Thought the original game isnt THAT bad.

I bought it recently for a friend for his birthday (Which is convenient for me because I don't own a pc ). The game play and architecture is okay, but the actual characters look kinda funny. Plus the controls are a little funny and hard to use.
And ... ermm... in third person mode, Kyle looks retarded.

JK's main downfalls are the limitations of the graphical engine. I'm not sure what the polygon count maximum is for the display, but it's either 1024 or 2048, a very poor number. A level that I made for it almost crashed the computer, as the scene had more than the alloted limit, and thus I had to change my angle until no polygons were dropped.
as a result, the models use VERY few polys. However, the engine still provides sufficient opportunities for decent fully 3-D work.
