As the title implies (or doesn't) I'm looking for somebody with VUE experience.

This is the last great DF editing mystery for me to unravel. I'm rocking VUECAD and it hates me. I'm not clear on the fundamentals. Is there anybody who can vaguely assist? Offer suggestions?

Vuecad is a capricious lady. You have to know how to treat her right. It's been a while since I used it so let me see if I can remember. First of all you have to check 'gradiated' for every point in your vuecad file. This will tell the program where to put the points when exporting the vue.
Also the amount of steps between 2 points corresponds to the speed at which your object will be moving.
Make sure to press Enter after every change you make or else they won't count.
A note on turning: Let's say you have a speeder on a vue that is travelling north and you want to take a left turn. Since your speeder is travelling north the yaw value will be 0 (or 360), now you want your vue to turn 90 degrees to the left. You might be tempted to enter yaw: 270 as a value, however this will cause your speeder to turn clockwise all the way from 0 -> 270. What you want to to is enter yaw: -90 this way your vue will travel -90 from your current point 0 (or 360).

It's a pretty simple program to use once you get the hang of it.

Barry, that's a giant help! I'm sure I can figure out a lot more just from that little bit.

Cool. Sure if you have any more hassle just ask. She can be a bitch at times.
Oh and as for those Bézier curives, they can be hard to get right, you just have to keep tweaking them. Usually it means using minus numbers for bez. mag: in one of the points, i.e. say you have a line travelling north and you want to turn left, but you want it to be a gradual, natural looking turn. Then you check 'Bézier curve' for that one point. Give it bez mag of 100 for starters. Next insert the point where your curve will end, around a corner or whatever. Don't tick 'Bézier curve' for that point but do give it a bez mag of -100. Don't forget to adjust your yaw as well as this will also affect the cruve. You should start to get something resembling what you're after. After this its all about adjusting the bez mag and moving the points around until you are satisfied.
