This is from a 1994 magazine about the making of Shadows of the Empire for N64. The levels were designed by Matthew Tateishi, Brett Tosti and Ingar Shu; the same men responsible for those in Dark Forces. The article has some tidbits on Dark Forces' legacy and the Jedi Engine's use during the production of Shadows. The article should be a good read for anyone interested in Star Wars or video games in general.

Sounds like it could be useful for helping to fill out Wikipedia's article on the Jedi engine, if someone wanted to.

It doesn't sound like it used the Jedi engine though. They used some development tools that were used for Dark Forces but made new engines for SotE. He also says that they had to convert a lot of the work into something usable for the new engines so it sounds like Dark Forces dev tools were not exactly optimal.
