|
|
I played and ended dark forces without loosing a single point of shield or health, that's what I call perfect game.
Right now, I play JK (dark forces 2) in normal difficulty mode with same ambition. I am at the beginning of level 10, and I didn't loose a single point of shield/health so far (except if mandatory to access a secret area).
But level 10 seems pretty hard to me, I'm starting to wonder if it is even possible to end it without loosing shiel/health. What is your opinions good Sirs?

I believe its possible unless somehow you added Xenomorphs into the game Sigma-51 did for MotS lol. But yeah it should be possible, however the dark jedi fights will be hard (especially against Jerec)

there are 2 places in level 10 where it appears loosing health is unavoidable

do you know a way to not loose health in these two places please?

I think if you use force speed you can slow your descent down the first ramp. And depending on the angle and if/when you jump you may avoid damage on the second.

I managed to reduce the damage a bit (23 damage instead on 35) in the first area using force speed to slowdown my descent... however it seems impossible to eliminate completely the health loss
In the second area I found a trick to avoid damage but it is hard to explain so unless someone wants to know...

What a prideful Jedi! Even Obi-Wan and Yoda take damage. And don't get me started on Anakin.

it's not pride it's challenge
the game is far more challenging and interesting this way I think
good news I'm at the beginning of level 19 and so far I've made a perfect game.
the hardest level was level 15 near the end where half a dozen of storm troopers are insta-respawned infinitely
now with force persuasion, it's pretty easy

No, it'd just require a LOT of careful video editing. So it could be done!
...It'd probably just take longer than the entire time you spent doing all that save/reloading to get the game finished in the FIRST place.
