Have you tried the Wax editor available on this page?

Yes I edited it in photoshop though. How do I edit it using the wax editor and not photoshop?

I don't own a mac but I presume its similar to pc - use the wax editor to convert the wax to a series of images, edit the images and then use the wax editor to reassemble the wax.

Yeah, what Barry said. Essentially you need to pick an individual .wax (phase1.wax for instance) from the Sprites GOB (which the program will ask for). From there you can extract specific frames or all of them and it sends them to a specific file in the location of your choice. From there you can edit them in photoshop. The process of converting it to a .wax is the opposite.

Just remember to save the images (if you're making them from scratch) as a .pict file or something similar. That's why I just recommend extracting a wax and working off of one of those.

I would also start with something basic too, like an animated bullet (the plasma one is a good one to start with) just to see how the whole process works. Because I guarentee if you try to make your own enemy first it'll be quite overwhelming.

Edit: Just a quick note, it has been a VERY long time since I've used that program so I really don't remember the process exactly, so some of my info may be incorrect. But it sure is a lot easier than doing it through BMPDF.

Oh, I just realized that you were asking how to convert it back to a wax. There should be a tab or something in the menu that says convert to wax. Just find that file and follow whatever dialogue it asks for after that.

I can't find the convert to wax thing and I can only save it as a FME eventhough it is a wax what the hell is wrong with my computer and/or the program?
