All over the web, I keep reading about some new social site caller Lockerz. It claims to be a site where people answer questions an play games for "Pointz" that can be redeemed for nice prizes (we're talking about PS3's and Ipods etc.)

I'm just curious how they could give away so much stuff without going belly up? People have written saying that they have gotten enough points to get a new PS3 game in less than a week! There are testimonials of shipped items, yet I can't find a any reliable coverage. Some people have suggested that the testimonials are from a advertising firm called Fanscape.

I just find the whole things perplexing. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I'd be inclined to think that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
There seems to be a few different opinions on Yahoo answers, some people think its nothing but a pyramid scheme, others say its genuine but that it takes a really long time to earn any considerable amount of points.

I did a similar thing at Toys R Us, but it was solely through microsoft and xbox products. I had to go to a website and answer dumb easy quizzes and would earn a sum of points after which I could use to purchase stuff like games and shirts.

I got some pretty cool swag through that, but the shipping killed.

I doubt this is the same case though.

So it was all free except for the shipping? Aye, there's the rub.

Yeah, once you paid for shipping (which was PER ITEM, not per shipment), it ended up being roughly half of what you would normally have to pay retail-wise.
