Can someone please make star wars episode 1, 2, and 3 Gmd's and Fight sounds because I'm getting bored with the built-in gmds and fights.

Midis are nothing like mp3s. Mp3s are audio recordings, while midis are closer to digital sheet music. Midi files hold all the information such as notes played, length, instruments used, tempo etc. but you need a midi player to play the files, as they won't play on mp3 players. Most media players will play midi files as well as audio files, but DF does not. The only other sound files that df supports are vocs, which are pretty redundant nowadays as well.
The GMDs in DF are just midi files with a different extension. In order to replace the stalk and fight gmds all one has to do is find (or transcribe yourself) midis that you want to use instead.
The problem is that midi has not been the industry standard for about 15 years, therefore nobody can be bothered making them any more. So your chances of finding and Star Wars prequel midis are pretty slim. there are a few from the Phantom Menace out there, but nothing else.

Your best bet is to get a midi sequencing program yourself and make your own midis. It's pretty easy to do if you have any musical knowledge, but pretty time consuming.

Ok you can wait for DarkXL which I'm sure will supposrt mp3 files.

Google 'star wars midi' and see what you can find.

Sorry, don't know what happened there but I accidentally quoted myself and it wouldn't let me delete the message. Weird.

Actually does anybody have any denent tips or tutorials on making GMD files? I've tried it before, but not with much success (getting stalk to flow into fight etc.) I'm working on an 'epic' new level that'll be out soon and I need to do some heavy-duty editing of the original DF music.

I have a lot of MIDI experience so don't need any help there. I'm sure DF_SPECs will help me out with making GMDS, but I decided to be lazy and ask here. Smile

Haha, not quite that epic. Just a little idea I've been thinking about doing for years - finally got bored enough to begin it last week.

Now that you mention it, Oppressor SE could be cool....
