I put up a blog post that talks a little about the status of the upcoming Beta - which will be the next build - as well as a surprise.
Read all about it here.

Voxels weren't a surprise to me, but there's still no mention of the mystery game. Is it on Wikipedia?

DukeNukem3D at a guess. I remember you could convert DF levels to DukeNukem levels in WDFUSE. This is excellent news - I still havn't had time to go back and have a full play through but will try to do it sometime this week and feedback.

There are already excellent ports for DN3D; and voxel support wouldn't be needed for it since the game didn't ship with voxels. If it were a Build game, Blood or Shadow Warrior would be the ones that'd require voxels. Shadow Warrior has ports; but the Blood source code was never released.

He's adding support for Super Noah's Ark 3d!
Long have I wanted to see such a piece of priceless culture in a clean, high resolution!
(Ergo it would also support Wolfenstein 3d, but who would be interested in THAT )

I'll announce the third game once DarkXL goes into Beta. It's not a Jedi Engine game but uses a similar engine (obviously - which rules out games that did not use a sector engine). It is unfortunate that only two games used the Jedi Engine - even the Wolf3D engine had more games than that.

Hellbender, aka Fury3, aka Terminal Velocity? ShadowXL for Shadowcaster? BlakeXL (Blake Stone)?

DN3D and SW both have ports. Maybe Blood? Some amount of reverse engineering had already been done (for example, in ZDoom), it uses voxels in vanilla (contrarily to DN3D) and it does not have ports (contrarily to Shadow Warrior).
Shadowcaster and Blake Stone use a "gridmap" engine (not sure it has an actual name), where the levels are cut into squares. So it's not a sector engine.
Anyway. The DaggerXL 0.19 build has just been released.

A small progress update:
I've been working on finishing the weapons today, they should be finished tonight.
The next step will be to fix up the sound attenuation and to finish/fix the iMuse system.

Is the fact that it's snowing on the DarkXL blog a clue?

Will the work you're doing on iMuse fix the stuck notes thing?

Jon`C already started that. The project was abandoned.

It's unfortunate that it was abandoned. However two engines are enough for me (DarkXL and DaggerXL) so hopefully someone else will pick up the torch one of these days for Sith 2.

The Sith engine evolved to become the Jones engine in Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, so hopefully whoever picks it up includes all the improvements. I never played that Indy game but it's interesting to compare it to JK just watching YouTube videos of it.
