My brother bought their first self titled album a while ago and I just bought the greatist hits volume 1 and I love both disks.
The vocals of David Lee Roth are amazing and Eddie is simply one of the best guitarists ever.
Do y'all like this band? and if so, what are some of their best albums?

Haha, you're just now discovering VH? I think some of their best stuff is on:
- Van Halen I
- Fair Warning
- 1984
After that Dave left and Sammy Hagar came in.

Yes, thats the one. It also has "Eruption", "Little Dreamer" and "Ice Cream Man" - some of my alltime favorite VH songs.

Aaahhh! Van Halen is one of the best bands on earth. My band, Static Line, is covering both "Dance the Night Away" (Van Halen II) and "Jump" (1984) - two of my most favorite songs ever. I love Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love, Dreams, Ice Cream Man (incredible solo!), I Can't Drive 55, Right Now, Panama, Mean Streets, Runnin' With the Devik, and a bunch more too. Wow. VH rules. Eddie is rockin'.
The only other band I know with that kind of performance talent is X Japan, a rock band from the 80's and 90's that were as popular in Japan as the Beatles were in the U.S. Their guitarist is basically Eddie's long-lost identical twin, and their drummer is by far and away the most talented drummer I've ever heard. Ever.
