I am running DF on XP flawlessly thanks to the DF-21 guide. How do I increase the resolution to 640 x 480 or higher? Can I run it through my graphics card? How can I run DF windowed? THANKS

Sorry man, but the answer is no. Bear in mind how old a game it is. I'm glad to hear you got it running flawlessly on WinXP though. Kudos!

Actually, The answer is only no if you include ALL of your present conditions...

The Macintosh version of DF can go up to 640x400.

Dark 3D has been in development for a few years now. IT will be the first fan-made port of DF, as Lucasarts holds onto their source code like Epic holds unto the Unreal source.

What about DF -> DF3 and DF -> ZDoom? Are those mods rather than ports? I always thought of a port as something like moving the same third-party level set from one game to another, or the same game from one OS to another.

A port is a direct transfer of source code from one environment to another. Thus, I believe the answer to your question is obvious.

I don't believe that's completely accurate.

So in a MOD you exactly recreate the level, and in a Port you run the already-created game files in another game?

What you believe is not relevant, as long as you are wrong.
