Anybody remember it? Wish to post sentiments/death threats? I'll probably be re-posting the screenies later today...

Well, my brother has yet to change two things, and It will be ready for release:

1. Some of the background music. He agreed with me that some of it needs a little changing, such as the inter-level music, and the boss-level music. Any musics changed would be back to the SNES W3D.

2. A few of the pallettes/ cutscene images. Right now, the picture of Blakowicz between floors has a pallette that fits the cartoon Noah fine, and should be changed. Also, The title screen, as soon as he can find a tool to edit it, will become something clompletely unique. Lastly, he needs to change the cutscene text, but that isn't readable to him as of yet.

3. The sprites. This is the biggest gap. All of the item pickups will become those of W3D. Also, the animals, while they do shreik when you kill them, still have ZZZs, and are bloodless. As soon as he can figure out their format, this will change.

The list above may look long, but that's FAR less than what he's changed previously... Please stay tuned for updates.

It's an SNES ROM, you'd need an emulator to use it.

And if he makes a patch file, which is the popular method for distributing hacked games, you'd have to gat the same rom he used in order to generate the final hacked rom.

That's right. SNA3D was only for the Super Nintendo. I don't remember what SNES emulators there are for the Mac... Mabye ZSNES (by FAR the best SNES emulator) has a port for the Mac availible...

...And as far as legality, "WisdomTree Software" is not a valid maker of SNES games...

...Bleah. I forgot to shake the location of some screenies out of my bro. I guess I'll just have to make some myself...

Neutral ... And as for the progress, don't be expecting it to be finished soon... I must admit, I have no flipping clue how they have the sprites stored... They aren't in any simple linear bitmapped format, although the walls are... Probably compressed in some way or another... Which means changing them is going to be just short of impossible, if that easy.

Hey, glad to see you! This thing you're doing is really neat, heh. I would've thought changing the sounds would be impossible.

Have you tried looking for Wolfenstein SNES spefiic editing tools? You might find one that can edit the sprites.

I've been looking for SNES Wolf3D tools for who knows how long now... I've only found ones for the Mac and PC versions, but hey, I guess I should keep looking...

As for the sounds, I managed to find find a (The? No one ever tried to make another after it was made, it seems.) SNES sound file extractor/converter/inserter, and although don't remember what it's called right now, it shouldn't be too difficult to find via Google or such.

Anyways, I guess I'l keep working on it...

Okay, I just checked... It's SNESSOR (Super Nintendo Entertainment System SOund Ripper, I think), currently at version 2.1 as of 1999 or so...
