Cloudspear won't be done until at least mid-March (I said *SHOULD* and you know it!) due to a particularly nasty bout of indecision.

Meanwhile, this might interest the whin- I mean... those who were requesting a screenshot...

I hate giving away too much in these things, so this is just a shot of a place near the start of the level. Nothing earth-shattering, but it is what it is.

Good color scheme- the orange lights in the hazy gray locale. I like it.

Is it just me, or did you desaturate the CMP?

Anyway, the screenie looks good... Just please make sure that the "unfortunate setbacks" are kept to a minimum... And keep as many backups as you can!

:: Just knows that NTK was referring to me ::

I didn't choose to corrupt my GOB, my computer hates me. HOWEVER!! I did backup Jedi Crystal about 5 times (In separate files) chronologically.

Anyway, back on subject......

.....

.....

I guess it's better than nothing.

Everybody should know well enough that there's a little bit of malicious code placed in both Windows (either 9x or NT), along with Mac OS. I'm not sure if it's Linux, but it's probably there as well. It's the little bit of code that randomly corrupts data for no other reason... I've had various windows systems (mainly ME and XP) corrupt about 200 floppy disks, and about 10 HDD files (the HDD was a new major brand disk, BTW). Fortunately, the file was typically a download, or I had a copy backup up.

Looking at the shot again, I'd say that it's good quality for arci, but not much for innovation... And I was wrong about the desaturization... I bet I could post better ones... I'll probably post some from my own work in a few days, now that I can upload them to DF-21...

DF-21 has a long and dignified history of the most interesting projects being lost due to lack of backups. I think the first that I was there to read about was The Dark Forces of Zsinj. That was when Scape Goat was and had always been the absolute ruler of DF-21.

A new screenshot of Cloudspear? I never expected to see that. It looks good, too. Very Scapian. I'd play it, maybe even beta test it.

Are you using multiple PLAYER logics? They make DF's combat system marginally less of a bad joke.

it may not have innovation in the shot NTK, but I have a feeling Scape Goat knows what he is doing, better than most of us at least, he has been at this a long time.

I think the texture choices are seemless, everyone looks like the perfect choice.

I can't wait, pretty soon the only old level yet to be seen will be ArchAngel 3!

*does s happy Dance*

WooT!! Its not very innovational, yet very pretty. The Shadows are nicely subtle.

Of course I know what Scape Goat can do... I don't know anybody who's a serious DF player here, and hasn't played either BG2 or Ironfort. I was just hoping that there'd be something more exciting for us to see...

I think the shot's good. I'm sure Kevin's saving the best stuff for when the level is released. This shot's more of a teaser shot.

Bear in mind that I'm the guy who didn't want anyone to see pictures of the alien building from DaI before it was released. All the screenshots I've every posted anywhere have been of decent-looking, unimportant areas near the beginning of the level.

Of course, your levels get better the farther into them you go... I was just hoping that you might have had some really cool-looking areas at the beginning of the level... Oh well...
