I think this level is fun to play when you have nothing else to do. There are good things and there are bad things about this level that just kind of balance things out.
Pro: Loved the plot, it just seemed to work for some reason.
Con: It seemed too big in some areas.
Pro: Liked the beginning where you had to find another ay into the base through the ruins, I liked the hyroglyphics that were used.
Con: The room full of DT phase 1s.
Pro: The use of mailocs instead of stormtroopers for that kind of abandoned temple kinda feel.
Con: Some of the texturing was bad and a little bland in certain areas, and most of the lighting was the same.
Overall, I enjoy playing this level because you don't really have to think much about anything. Perfect for a late night game where you have nothing else to do. 7 of 10

I found the original Beyond Glory to be a rather good level. The plot is very creative, a rather refreshing break from the "old-fasioned" missions where Kyle "broke into in Imperial base and shot some people". I also liked the fact that the main door wasn't a real entrance for the player, although such an excessive side-trip through the ruins started to get on my nerves after a while, with all the dianogas and mailocks. Once inside the base, it didn't actually feel like an "Imperial" base, but that hardly detracted from the feeling. Although I frown upon the straight use of DTs, at least they were quasi-plausable, being a saved batch of DT Is, though the concussion rifle and large room made the battle far too easy. Of course, I also like missions that require retracing one's steps back to the Crow, though I often prefer more creative ways, such as in Mt. Kurek. This is definitely one of the better levels (or else I wouldn't have wasted time posting a review like this).

I thought that the room full of DT Phase 1s was a great idea. The way I do it is this.
Run around the room in circles to get good distance between you and the DT army,
turn around, and blast them several times with your concussion rifle, and then run.
It sounds impossible a room full of DTs but the puzzle surprises you by its managability. It really gets the adrenaline pumping!
I also like the way that the atmosphere builds up towards the end with all the big rooms, important switches, and voice-overs.
You apprehend a big boss battle at the end, but it never comes yet it still manages to keep you right on the edge of your seat.

The thing is that DTs get old very fast if you use them too often, and since they have been greatly overused, levels that include too many of them don't do so well in the originality department.

However, that's not to say that using the logic isn't original . Using other waxes with that logic can be pretty cool sometimes.

That's a good idea. I haven't tried that...Do you know where I can get some, so that I may use one to put in my new level,
without it looking 2D and fake (cough***darth vader***cough!) Maybe something I can put underground on an island...?
