I didn't enjoy it:

- Cliffs all the same height, not very realistic Sad
- Invisible walls in the beginning, ditto.
- Enemies are all clumped together in spots, but then there's huge areas of no enemies at all.
- Possible to jump into a hanger and get stuck, need to LAPOGO out.
- Reyee with multiple logics, killed me twice on easy and ended my game.

Trying to address your concerns:

1+2: I will confess the base project this is from is very old - there are shades of some of my first work in here, and I didn't want to go completely through and re-do it. I'm thinking of a SE possibly.

3:  I presume that most patroling stormtroopers would work in clumps, and actually, the south caves have a glitch that would have made it *far* more irritating - it has to do with the sector walls/complexity

4: No need for lapogo, either use the red key, or, well, I guess you'll have to think something *up*.

5: Sorry to hear - but actually, no multiple logics on the bodyguard. I can offer you can lead him out into the hallway. I will admit that the bodyguard *is* tough... but then again, shouldn't they be? Wink

Obviously not trying to dismiss any of your comments/concerns, just trying to point out/help out. The level isn't that much anyway - I never expected more than 2 or 3 'stars.

P.S. Any interest in a walkthrough/overview?

4. I didn't have the red key at this point, and all exits I could find needed it.

5. I was in the hallway Razz

The game crashed on me at a couple points. It seemed to do it whenever an explosion happened in certain areas.

Hmm...

I think I might have actually uploaded an older version - I think I had fixed the crashing problem, but now I can't remember what the problem was - if anyone knows, feel free to drop me a line.

And I can assure you, there *is* a way out of the hanger without the red key. Seriously, if you just look around, the answer should come in leaps and bounds.

Yeah it kept crashing for me as well, just after I'd gotten Bez and the blue key and I was heading back to the speeder. IN the end I just lantfhed to the place with the red key, and it was fine.

I didn't think the level was too bad.
My favourite bit was the little tie fighter classes. I do think you had some good ideas, and the texturing was mostly neat. Some of the use of texture and the lighting was a bit off, as was some of the architecture but all in all I thought it was not too shabby. You can definitely see the Tie Defender Base influence.
The bit at the end with all the insects was cool too, though very tough.
I'd give it 4/5 only the crashing bug knocks it back to a 3/5

I've had the same problem with crashing, three times in a row when I played it. Quite frustrating, but otherwise an OK level, despite these remarks like the uniform height of the rocks, etc. I agree with Barry, good candidate for 4 stars but because of crashing (because of which I couldn't yet successfully finish the level), three.
