|

I downloaded Condition Red and tried to play it, but it won't work. It keeps giving me this error message:
Landru Error
XACTOR.C(1086): Pointer invalid
Anyone know what that means, or how to fix it?

Normally, this error is random for me. If it isn't for you, try making sure all the LFD files aren't corrupted/missing/eaten by a local pet.

I believe that you have to recopy the dbrief.lfd from your CD-ROM.
It's been a while since I had that problem, so I don't remeber exactly.

I tried to copy dbrief.lfd from the CD, and that didn't work. I also re-unzipped the file to make sure that none of the files were missing. None were (unless of course, they were missing from the zip file to begin with, and there wouldn't be anything I could do about that).

I finally got it working. I think it must have been a file from another custom level that was interfering. Pretty interesting level. Took a lot of trial and error to figure out what to do (especially when you have that time limit to re-activate the defenses). How do you get into the maximum security area, anyway? And what happens when you do?
