You can just request a sound effect and someone will get it for you? Why didn't anyone tell me about this scam earlier? I've got about 5 different VOCs that I've been trying to figure out how to make...

Take an empty pack of your favorite potato chips (or anything made of such crunchy material which annoys you in the cinema). Squeeze it loud with your hands in a duration of about 0.5-1 second and have that sound recorded by the computer. Then speed up the recorded wave by a factor 2-3x (simply multiply the sampling frequency by that factor without changing the wave itself). That should do the trick.
If you want to use it for Dark Forces, don't forget to downsample it to 11kHz.
