As I'm having some Newspro-related difficulties at the moment, I figured I'd alert you all to the fact that the project page for mr_pong and alkaline888's project, The Heresy Machine, has been updated.
There are two stunning new screenshots, as well as a hilarious update on the project's progress.
(The front page, by the way, will be updated with this news quite shortly)

Idea: Whenever a project page is updated, if the poster has selected a "Major update" checkbox or something (as opposed to minor update), then a forum thread is automatically generated here, with the update in it and a link to the project page, so people can comment on the major update... just a thought.

I liked the "press release"!
What can we expect from this trilogy? Will this be:
Action-based, with adrenaline-filled battles all around (like NTK_SB),
Puzzle-based, complete with puzzles that will take us hours to solve (like Imperial Academy or Ironfort), or
Scenery-based, where gameplay takes second place to stunning arcitecture and show-off scenes (like Condition Red)?
Also, When can we expect this level to be released? Will it be:
At the end of the month,
In "Two Weeks",
After the next coming of the Messiah, or
No comment?

This, along with Anterak City, is the project most eagerly anticipated by me.

I would say that the projects I am most anticipating are:
The Hersey Machine,
Anterak City,
Armoured Threat,
DT III (Doh!), and
DT IV (Doh again!).

Oh yeah, NTK. The project title has been changed yet again.
It is now called The Spice Bust on Taloron....or somewhere along those lines. If you haven't seen my plot change yet, I suggest you do so. But the Armoured Threat plot is still alive, it's just in a different level.
Ah, the joy of having multiple projects.

Heh Heh, just pulling your leg. Do you have a project page? Or anything that would give us an idea of what you're doing?
I joined up here about 7 months ago so it may have been before I came here. Still, I'd like to hear more.

Im what youd call and Idealist. I have great ideas, but have trouble implementing them. MY project is called Despayre. Ive planned everything out, and plan to include: An Orbital Insertion, a realistic jungel/swamp, and an imperial base being blown to smithereens around you.
However, Im just havent had time to work on much of it... Ive been working for almost 2 years, yet only have about one tenth of it done. Im the victim of over-realised projects.
I might post a demo...
P.S.: Sorry if Im stealing the topic

You know, that sounds so much like my other project. It includes a realistic jungle/swamp with realistic (sorta...) rainfall. Plus I made it so you can dive underwater and rise continuously instead of only being able to do it once. Then at some point, the base you are in falls under...oh wait. That'd be giving too much away. Never mind.

Excuse my absence, I didn't even notice this little thread growing here. I'm flattered by the attention and the anticipation for the project... GULP! Pressure's on! I hope Troy and I haven't talked it up too much to deliver on your expectations.
We hope to release a demo before Christmas. Troy and I are super sticklers for detail and perfectionists to boot, so we take a long time to do *anything*. Folks may remember our plans from a year ago for a demo...
In any case, I'd hardly call our GOBs action-packed. Much more like Grim Fandango -- you walk around, interact with a few people, take in the scenery, and try to figure out how to accomplish your mission goals before the bad guys overrun you. There are some mysteries to solve along the way. Hopefully some "how'd they do that?" moments too.
'Nuff said. I gotta get back to editing...
Greg
