My stupid question for the day:

What's the easiest way to use an ambient sound (e.g. wind1.voc) for a large number of sectors? Putting in a bunch of objects is less-than-efficient in this scenario

You could use INF to play the sound...

Make all of the walls adjoined to your noisy sectors CLASS TRIGGER_TOGGLE, or something like that, and same for the opposite side. Have them trigger a MASTER_ON/MASTER_OFF for a sector that repeatedly plays the sound in question. That's the best I can think of for right now.
