Hi!
I've alwayse loved Dark Forces, I've beaten it so many times I've gotten quite bored!
So i discovered you and now know that i can make my own maps!
( I am an avid map creator for jediknight2 and quake 3)
I downloaded Wedit and i seem to like that more the wdfuse. I was wondering how i can start off
I've already learned about sectors and altitude, objects, vertices, and other simple things.
My question is what are the steps to making a simple level, making a small elevator, 1 door, and a goal like to get to the third room. Oh and i want to know what to do when im done with the basics like how do i play the map?
well hope that wasnt too much for you thanks!

I personally have both Wedit and WDFUSE to veiw DF maps, but I prefer WDFUSE. Less buggy for me.
Anyway, the tutorial in WDFUSE jimbo was talking about should also work with Wedit. Some of the aspects such as super-stiching won't apply but it should still work. As for playing a map, all you have to type is:
| Code: | | dark -ufilename.gob |
Replace filename with the name of the gob.
