The poll will close 24 hours from now and the winning entry will appear on the front page shortly thereafter.
This week, we've eight shots from Fish's upcoming Lava Planet:

Make certain to stop by the Lava Planet project page, where (in addition to finding the latest info on LP) you can read Fish's own captions for each of these pictures.

I voted for LP6. Say what you wil about me having a soft spot for outdoor screenshots, but I thibk that the shot makes a fairly impressive use of the palletes, and seems to be well-crafted.

And the winner by two votes (thank you NTK) is LP6!
And, yes, the front page is actually updated already. Congratulations, Fish!
Now if only we could round up more voters... arrrrrrr...

Thanks guys. The competition was tough, but I'm happy I ended up being the winner.
I'll see to supply you with more screenshots in the future but I have also to take care not to reveal too much of the plot - I rather want to surprise you with some things when you'll actually play the level for the first time.

Good point. I was maybe a bit overeager to have a new SotW up -- not that I didn't like Taylor's, but it had just been a month.
Site traffic to the site, of course, seems to have slowed down over the past month or so, too...
The next poll'll last at least two days, and there'll be fair warning before it starts up, too.

Now that I think of it, LP6 was the best for another reason that didn't quite get to me: it's the one with the lava in it, of course!
Anyway, I do think that perhaps 24 hours isn't a long enough time. I'm thinking that mabye we should drop the "Screenshot of the Week" thing and replace it with a "Bi-weekly screenshot," with a whole week of gathering shots, and then a week of voting. Better yet, there should perhaps be constant voting, with several contests going in different stages; voting would last a solid week, only to immediately change into the voting for the next week. That might be a bit ambitious for DF-21, though...
