Basically, you can't.
The Dark Tide team did an ingenous work around though. Unless I'm mistaken, basically, they made a room, dropped the floor down, added a second altitude for normal height, modified the textures to include their reflections below the 2nd alt, and did the same to the stormies.

Yeah, I asked Patrick and Matt H about that a while ago and they won't reveal their secrets!

The enemies are modified WAXes with the reflections attached to their feet.

I think Barry figured it out when they first showed it, before he was part of the team, I doubt he would tell us now, though I beleive he thought it had something to do with a 3DO. . .

Before JO, you can't actually get a "reflective floor", but you can certainly fake it. As I remember, the floor the player stood on was at the second altitude, and the floor the player saw was really a 3DO, with minimal priority (however THAT was acomplished...)
However, i wouldn't reccomend releasing a DF level with a good looking floor technique, since I would allow DT III to be released first, unless you're Lionell...

It'd be pretty aggrivating, and bad form, if somebody released a level with a reflective floor before DTIII came out.

I wouldn't mind, as we have no real claim to it. Who does it best is what counts.
Besides, who is really going to release a level here anyway? Honestly, the content output of this community is pathetic.

On the subject, doesn anybody here know of an effective way to get a reflective floor in JK? Or, is putting this question here a complete waste of time, and I am about 1000x better off posting this at Massassi?

Nottheking found the truth!
Nottheking puts the truth back with the other unfinished trash at DF-21.
Nottheking goes to Massassi.

Well, aisde from the Dark Tide, which kicks total arse, what's left to do here? What CAN be done here when nobody has the enthusiasm to A) help anybody and B) actually do something.

That's not true. We all help each other. There are plenty of levels in the works that I am looking forward to playing, including Operation Cakewalk.

Ohh! and look for my new level coming out called Glory of Battle, It is almost done, I just need to make the cutscenes, but I will have it out at the end of this month! The plot is this, you have to fight your way across a room full of enemies that get increasingly harder until you have to fight TWO DARK TROOPER PHASE 3s! ALL ON A REFLECTIVE FLOOR!!! At the end of the room you must grab the Death Star Plans!
Okay, so I am not that lame, but I have been working away at a little secret project with Adam Diggins. Rember him?

That wouldn't be all that bad a levvel... If you add more than 30 seconds of decent (and original) cutscenes, you'd have a 5-star levvel there. Well, mabye not, but all levels with long cutscenes have been nominated for the HoF before...

How are we supposed to "rember" him? I don't even know what that means, and perhaps I don't want to know...

Well, I was making a joke about the people who say they are going to realise their level at the end of the month, they just have to finish the level, and do the cutscenes. I don't think those are ever finished on time. Remember. that better?

Well, I was "parodying" your joke. Also, I was pointing out that, of the four levels with substantial cutscenes (C: R, DT I, DT II, and Tie Defender Base collector's edition), three are in the HoF, and the other has been nominated on numerous occasions.

Somewhat... but how does someone "Realise" a level?

My level is still being worked on. I'd probably finish it if I didn't keep getting cool ideas. I promise it will be done by the summer... MAYBE even Christmas.

I wasn't saying there is nothing to look forward to for DF, I was just saying that's exactly the problem- too much to look forward to and not enough to look at right now. Unless your new to this stuff. I have been looking at DF for 8 damn years.
