So I'm playing through this great 6 level mod, and I run headfirst into getting stuck on the 3rd level. I look online and all the links are dead that lead to the walkthrough. Any one still have it floating around somewhere? I'm stuck in the third level, I've planted the bomb but I don't have any idea where to go or what to do next. Could it be glitched because as soon as I started the level my movement was that reallllly slow crawl where kyle either slides or doesnt move that much at all?

Not sure about what to do on that level, it's been years since I played it.
But when the Ice Bug strikes and Kyle can't move, you can sometimes get him going by moving your mouse about. Weird but true.

For some reason, the inertia script for the "icy" surfaces does often seem to be a bit whacked. In that case, it happens that when you come to a complete stop, it is almost impossible to get moving again. However, you can get moving again. Just hold down the run key, and move forward. you'll eventually get moving again, after mabye about 30 seconds; you'll acelerate veerrryyyy slowly.

I remember first having trouble on ice when I got stuck the room in COOBER that has a not-icy-looking-at-all floor. And a phase 2 dark trooper.
Yeah, he got me moving.

Yeah, it happened to me whenever I was outside on the ledges at the beginning of the third level... is the level supposed to start with me having ice cleats?
That said, I thought that DF96 is definitely an epic, but WAY TOO devious in some ways. Even with using cheats and stuff, I STILL can't figure out how I'm supposed to get the Blue key behind the wall in jabba's palace.

Actually, I found that much of the puzzles in DF-96 weren't devious as much as frustrating. I don't remember how I got the blue key, but it WAS something stupid...
Also, as for the icy surfaces, I first discovered that in the slime-covered floors in the first level of the Hoerby trilogy.

Anyone know how to get through the first level in ruins of talos? I've gotten the scepter, but then what?
