I noticed in the showcase forum that there are still a number of people playing DF on a mac who can't run Assassinate Darth Vader. This issue is relatively simple to fix: in the gob file, all the files related to how the level plays are named kilvader.lev/inf etc, and don't replace one of the original levels. For some reason this seems to work on windows, but the mac doesn't like it. So change kilvader.lev into secbase.lev or any of the other original mission names. Now repeat this for the .cmp, .gol, .inf, .o, and .pal files, replacing kilvader with secbase.
Now open briefing.lst (double-click it in DarkForge):
Quote:
BRF 1.0
BRIEFS 1
LEV: KILVADER LFD: dfbrief.lfd ANI: brf-jan PAL: brf-jan
Again, change kilvader into secbase.
When this is done, open jedi.lvl (same way as above):
Quote:
LEVELS 1
Assassinate Vader, KILVADER
// (Comments must be at the end of this file)
// This file contains the list of all the levels in Jedi,
// and the DOS names for those levels.
Replace kilvader with secbase.
If you want to add the optional cutscenes, I seem to remember the instructions in the the accompanying text file being sufficient; I definitely got them working, in any case.
Hope this helps.
