I switched my computer to do some file transfer from my G3 to the G4 server in another room (to add the new level and some components to my other comp.) and to my horror found that the network preference to the G3 was now incompatible. So now I have no way of getting my files fromt the G3 to the G4, although I can do the other way around, but only through burning a CD. So until this problem is settled, I see no way of getting the levels to the web by the time they're finished.
Any help with this situation would be very much appreciated, I'm really worried about it.

Do you have one of those little USB memory sticks? They're pretty cheap for 256mb and work with USB 1.1. What OS is on the G4 and G3?

Memory sticks would work, or an iPod. Or try sending e-mails to yourself.

Yeah, even a digital camera would work. It's what I use for getting files off the old pentium 2 machine I use for editing DF.

What OSes are the two machines running? When I upgraded from my G3 running OS 9 to my G5 running OS X 10.3, all I had to do was use AppleTalk and the machines connected with little trouble. Getting the PC and the Mac to talk was another story...
Check Apple's website, I think this might be what I read to get it working:

The G3 is an old beige one that does not have any USB ports. If it did, the problem would have already been solved. But I also found an old ZIP drive that I think may work with both computers so I still have hope.
I may also be able to connect to the internet through the ethernet DSL so that is another option.
If all else fails, I might be able to get a cheap CD burner for it and do it the slightly annoying way. But at this moment in time, I think the ZIP drive may be the most efficiant way of doing this.
As for the OS's, the G3 runs OS 9.2 and the host G4 runs 10.4

HA! Problem solved!
I got the computer to connect to our DSL line so I now have internet access on both computers. I can still keep going.
