Isn't there a way you can make polygons larger than
100 radius?

Sure. Dialate.
A note of caution:
The DF enginge can only handle certain views (~200 DFU) without running into problems.

I think he means you could use multiple polyons, all flush with each other. Of course, I could be wrong...

Dilation: sometimes called "scaling". Basically, increases a sector, group of vertices, walls, etc. by a multiplicitive factor. For example:
A circle with radius 8.
Dilate by 2.
2*8 = 16.
New radius: 16.
Dilate by 1/4th.
16*1/4 = 16/4 = 4.
New radius: 4.
Etc.

Oh, I see you did mean the actuall meaning... Sorry about that...
...Before I embarass myself even more, what are you refering to by "polygons"? I thought you were talking about ones used in 3DOs, but now it seems you're talking about the "polygon" tool in WDFUSE... I didn't know there was a radius limit for that tool...

Sorry bout that.
DF sectors are polygons.
And... go!

Okay, sorry about getting confused myself...
As for the viewing distance HOMs, I noticed that this effect can be diluted and even eliminated in lesser extremes by segmenting/splitting the walls, especially if they are unadjoined. Thus, if you're not going to adjoin very many of the wall sections, make the polygon have as many sides/verticies as possible... I have gotten clear views up to nearly 350DFU!
