Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of levels one can have? The original game had 14 I believe but does anyone know if you can go beyond that?

Short and sweet - thanks. It'll save me much grief knowing this.

Haha...no problem. I experimented with this a bit, just out of curiousity...I could never get it to go past the 14 levels.

Yes, Dark Forces does happen to choke if it can't properly understand the add-on levels selected to be replacements for the original 14 missions... I'm surprised that Assassinate Darth Vader actually works, as it is listed as "KILVADER," instead of one of the 14 mission names... Probably a hard-coded switch to default it as "SECBASE."

The same goes for Star's End. It was labled STARSEND.LEV etc.

There's a file that will detail which mission goes with which filename. I forget what it is off-hand, but I remember coming across it years ago.

I believe so. Crack it open and check for yourself. It's the quick and easy way to learn.
