okay, I had the same question and I always assumed there was a secret switch that lifted the floor down there, but what is a PGU?

Actually, I have managed to get all of the lives and revives at once. Even if you grab a revive, you'll still be dead, though. The key is to position yourself well enough that when the PGUs blow, you hit the ceiling, and scrap across it in a straight line, collecting all three extra lives up there. I don't remember if it's actually possible to get up there taking less than enough damage to reduce your health to 0; if you have at least 1 point of health, a revive will ensure that you won't die. Aside from that, those revives are rather pointless. However, even if you die, getting another three extra lives (in spite of losing one of them right after collecting it) isn't all that bad.

Power Generating Unit. Those glowing barrel-like things that explode if you deal about 15% damage to them (2 shots from the blaster at any range, or a shot from the fussion cutter)

You can also do the same thing with a claymore mine in Jabba's Ship. There is an extra life hiding in an alcove in a large room with a few grans and a trandoshan (or 2) I can't be more specific than that, but it stands out really well and it would be hard to miss.

Yeah I might know what you're talking about. It's a tricky jump and you need to be fast, but I've done it.

Yeah, it can be done. After about 50 tries. I started to get dizzy from constantly running around the back to try again.
Mine jumping to that one is easier if you have the health to pull it off.
I think there are some mine jumps in the final cargo area on Ramses Hed too. But I could be wrong.

I know you have to use a mine to get the switch that opens Jaba's hot tub on Jaba's Ship.
Oh, while I'm thinking about it, is there a way to get to the ewok in Ramses Head without teleporting?

Yeah, I haven't done it in a while, but it involves running.

Running is so overrated. My preferred means of transportation is propulsion by I.M. mines.

I made a cluster of PGUs that blast you at least 10000 DF units up... fun stuff. Thermal detonators are good for jumping up those walls that are a bit too high to do a normal jump.

You know the way you can send enemies flying sky high if you crouch, look up and punch? Well I made a mini-game involving punching Gamorreans into elevated alcoves. Its great fun, I must upload it some time.

That does seem fun. Release DT4 without permission of the others while you're at it

Oh, releasing DT4 before DT3 would cast some confusion about the storyline... however, we should be already used to that from the Star Wars movies.
And let's not bug them too much; remember the Murphy's law of projects. The progress of the project is inversely proportional to the amount of complaints about the slow progress.

Yeah I know, I'm not holding my breath much anymore. In fact, I sometimes forget that project even exists. I remember being all excited about it saying "YES!!!! DT4!!!!". Now it's like "Oh.... yeah.... DT4. I Forgot about that."

Well yes, but I'd rather wait a bit longer and enjoy a flawless level, than to have a level with obvious bugs because it was done too quickly.
