Hello DF Maniacs,

i'm Thomas, 37, Delft ,the Netherlands.

thanks to all the level builders , i've been havin a lot of fun with 'm , i hadnt played DF in more than 10 years orso, till couple a weeks ago when i found the cd in an old box. i luved playin those lucasarts games back then (i have the tie fighter game in a 'floppy' version lol). Great all those add on levels u guys built, i played all 5 star and a couple of 4 stars too, i apreciated the levels even more after realyzing , while reading through the site, how much hours of grinding work u people put into it.

Been playin last couple o weeks going like and or very often .... .. but then great challengin puzzles, nice tough jumpin stuff, amazin scenery (i hope it doesnt get much harder then jumpin narrow beams while havin spasms tho, but boy those clone levels where fantastic). ... luvin all the cool new stuff !!

hmmm , or should i say old stuff ? cause i'm obviously pretty late in discovering these addons. I saw the BONUS 31 mb just newly updated on the site couple o days ago, reading through the forum i get the impression there's a sort of final chapter still in the making (?). [or maybe i get the 'bug' and start building a level too, i have an idea allready, i'd build 'the enterprise' , mission : kill Kirk, Spock and Scotty and rescue the deffecting Sulu].

and uhhh i'm stuck ... in 2 levels ... HELP

i tried some 'searches' in the forum but couldnt find any hints and there are only a couple of walkthroughs posted on the site (ey at least i tried b4 i posted )

In the Boba Fett assassination on Nar shaddaa level i'm totally stuck on the puzzle with the 3 switches and the narrow beam that goes horizontal and vertically, the first 2 switches move the beam , u can cross the beam to a 4th switch at the other side of the deep where there's also a door, but i cant get the door (or as far as i can see any other door in that area) to open. tried & tried & died & died again & again .. got frustrated , gave up in the end .. help ... please ... ... great level , seems to be the 'biggest' level out there ... and the bigger the better i think

In Dark Tide IV i'm stuck in the city, this beautifull amazing city, great walking around in there , but uhhh been tourist long enough now i believe i have to talk to some bouncer and/or washup from my swim in the sewer earlier , but i'm just stuck ... help ... please ... gimme a hint

I proudly finished all the other levels i tried, ok i'll admit mostly with supershield on but ey i've always been more of a puzzler than a shooter, tho i enjoyed the fist fights in boba's revenge , big fun.

bit of a long post ? yeah but i just had to show my apreciation for to all these creative level builders , thanks for hours of fun adrenalin pumpin action.

(and uhh no my english isnt purfikt, but neither is your dutch )

Its so cool that this game has such a fan club. You're English is great from what I can tell. Far better than my non-existent Dutch.

In The Dark Tide IV, you'll want to wash off that sewer goop in the large fountain you may have seen elsewhere. Then go back to the bouncer and he will let you in. Apparently he doesn't care that Kyle is soaking wet- but I guess he smells better!

Thanx Patrick for the 'hint' i actually missed the whole area with the fountain, i was mostly running around on the ground floor convinced there would be some exit there, but (not to my surprise)there was a lot o jumpin to do ... bouncer didnt like me sokin wet, but i found the big bad blowdryer eventually.

now i'm sitting in this tie fighther eagerly hopin there's gonna be a darktide V ...

great levels tho , DT3 & DT4 are defenitly my favorites plus the level with the aquarium, that was a beautiful level.

i downloaded the 31mb bonusstuff, but i understand that is mostly material to be viewed in an 'editor' or something (?) i saw some .gob files, some pics (cutscene avi's even) but i couldnt find a .bat file so i assume there are no playable levels in the bonus upload ? can i open the levels (gobs) in DF and walk through them (even if they are projects and maybe not fininshed) ?? or should i download an editor and view the files that way ??

p.s. : still hopin on a hint for the bobafett level

You can copy a .bat file from another level, rename it, open it in a text editor and change the line to read -u(nameofgob).gob

Then run the desired level from the new .bat file. People here are reporting that XIZORS.GOB gets an error, but I wouldn't know. I had last edited it on a Mac.

On the BF level, one switch raises and lowers the bridge, one moves it back and forth, and the other opens a one of the doors...a timed door.
