Rebel Agent PDA is an alpha version FontStruct TrueType font, pending completion of extended characters and metrics editing becoming possible on FontStruct. Basic Latin characters are done. Spacing should be manually adjusted to separate characters by the width of the letter I, as text appears in Dark Forces.

Modern Photoshop/Illustrator didn't seem to like the old PICT from the briefing graphics template in the old Mac DF Briefing Kit, but thanks to *drumroll* Canvas 5 I saved a clean new PICT and have an AI and layered PSD file of the template.pic at both low DF res and high future DarkXL res, thanks for the nice new font

It may support extended characters, but it can't support characters Magic_Al hasn't made yet, especially if he's waiting for metrics editing capability before making them.

In fact most of the extended characters from Peter Klassen's original bitmap font are in there but they're not "complete" because I haven't made them smooth-looking yet.

Good, we didn't do the same thing after all. My font, Rebel Agent PDA is meant for smooth large-size type in DarkXL and Dark Forces Mod and other spinoff projects. Burning Gundam's KatarnFont is sharp at 10-point size and should be used for actual Dark Forces briefings because neither version of Rebel Agent PDA works correctly for that.
The "bitmap" version of mine, Rebel PDA Agent Classic, almost looks right at 15 point but it's glitchy because FontStruct doesn't let you control things like that. Burning Gundam used real font software for KatarnFont so his spacing and sizing isn't all flaky like mine.

I was actually amazed how easy it was to use too. I was able to make the font in two days, granted it was bitmapped but still.
Too bad it was made on trial software though, I may have ended up making improvements to it in the future.
