Your favorite levels. What are they? Why?

I'll start with some old ones;
1) The Lahara Hotel
2) TIE Defender Base
3) DF96
4) The Cloak

I like them because they're challenging, and tell a good story. They also expose the player to a new side of the Star Wars universe.

Anyone else?

You seem to like lots of old-school levels Smile

My personal favs:

-TIE Defender Base
-Discovery At Ironfort
-Dark Tide Episode I (The one that started it all Very Happy )
-Beyond Glory II

Yeah, I'm "old skool" Smile

Which one is Dark Tide. I vaguely remember that map.

Those are good ones.

Another one I like is Tim Smulder's Icebase map. It's a huge map with a few custom BMP.

And I totally forgot about DonDF42. Isn't that the one where you fight in an Arena at the end?

The first Dark Tide is this one. (The second is also in the Hall of Fame and, if we ever do hold a few more induction polls, I'm sure the third and fourth will be, too.)

Ohhh... that one. Yeah, I began playing that map right before I got into another game. Cool map. Smile

Mmmm . . . my favorites:
-Ironfort - one of the most original levels I've ever played. The alien structure is awesome, and just the atmosphere of the entire level made me jump a few times Razz

-Dark Tide II - the entire DT series could have easily been professionally designed. Nightfall was my favorite of the 4 episodes.

-Jungles of Caldoun - Graphically amazing. I'd have never thought of making a jungle in DF's "jaggy" engine. Again, it had a unique and interesting story.

-Fortress Quadrigon - Despite the annoying key bug, the fortress was very well designed. It definitely wasn't what I expected from another Imperial base.

Anyway, talking about these levels gives me the urge to continue working on my own DF project (finally). It's good to keep in mind what makes a level a favorite.

Ahh, Mt. Kurek. I forgot about that one, it was always fun to play.

Sadly, I never got to play Assassination on Nar Shaddaa, it crashes on my computer about 5 minutes through. It looks pretty amazing though, from what I've seen.

Condition Red and Mt. Kurek, wow, I'd almost forgotten about those.

It took me many tries to get through Condition Red. Almost as many for me as TIE Defender Base.

Oh my god, I can't believe I forgot Mt. Kurek (I knew I was forgetting something). Yeah, that gets added to my list.

It's a revised edition where bug that caused crashes has been fixed.

I'll try it, but I think that's the one I have. Of course, I'm getting a new computer in the next week or so, hopefully it'll work on there if not on my current one.

Return to Bespin (I Think that was the one) First add on level I played and then I was hooked
Dark Tide 1 and 2, still haven't played the new ones.
Prelude to Harkovs Defection. Brilliant!

I have a couple that are my favorite.

Stars End the Cloak
Energy Mine on Parux
Lahara Hotel
Beyond Glory II
Dark Tide II (I love all of them, but II was my favorite)

Star Destroyer Oppressor IV gets an honorable mention for pimped out Moldy Crow.

Yeah! Put a couple of playstations in the back. a mini fridge, and a hot-tub on the roof for getting frisky with the ladies. It's time for a special edition, or maybe even a sequel.

Return to Bespin was a favorite of mine for a long time. Still one of the better ones.

Guess DF42, Star's End and Tie Defender Base; those were the first I played, and the easiest to remember for that.

Ah yes ― forgot about one more: Dark Prelude, especially the first mission. Despite it not being a true 5-star level, somehow I kept replaying this one.

Dark Prelude is one of those levels that I find myself going back to play.
