I maintain a DOS computer for my oldschool gaming fixes. I tried hooking up a floppy drive, and now the poor thing won't boot. Did I accidentally fry my motherboard or something? The Harddrive will rev up, but I don't get any video or POST beeps. Aynone got suggestions, or should I hunt down a new (err old) motherboard?

Will it start without the floppy attached? If so, try reversing the FDD cable. The old ones fit both directions.

It doesn't seem to want to start with NOTHING attached.

Perhaps a power supply issue? Perhaps you knocked something else loose? Perhaps posting a step by step of what you did may lead to the solution.
