I open the hanger and got the pressure suit and a tie bomber destroyed the window sucking me into space but it makes me move slow and I cant climb the ladder so what do I do.

I figured out how to but I still move slower than a snail and can barely make it to the ladder is the something that will allow me to move in space faster

It's a glitch in Dark Forces that was never fixed. Sometimes on icy surfaces you won't move fast.
Best way to avoid it is to not stop moving on icy surfaces. And if you move long enough eventually you'll start to go faster.

If you do get stuck, move and wiggle your mouse at the same time.
and make sure you don't go crashing into walls.
