It's no secret that Lucas Arts has forgotten about it's older titles, like Monkey Island and Dark Forces. They seem to have go down hill since the early 2000's.

However, last year, Lucas Arts president Jim Ward, stepped down and Darrell Rodriguez took over. I just found an interview with him from this Monday. Apparently, he wants to resuscitate older IPs, like Monkey Island.

The Monkey Island remake is fantastic, especially given that you can instantly switch to the original version at any point. Telltale, the company founded by former LucasArts employees, has also been given the license for a new MI game in the style of their recent Sam and Max episodes. There have also been hints about continuing this trend with other old classics. Hopefully this includes Dark Forces!

I was wondering, if tailtale was part of Lucas Arts? I have played the new Sam and Max game, at least season 1 and loved it, but I never got to see the new Monkey Island. All I can say is I loved The Curse of Monkey Island, and really wish that there was a remake of it compatible with modern OS. What I'm also looking for is some kind of remakes of the first 2 Monkey Islands since i have never seen them. Does ne one know if there was such thing?

Personally I don't want to see Dark Forces resurrected as a point-and-click episodic adventure game...

..... actually, a Star Wars themed P&C would be pretty neat...
