Hello,
I need a domed roof (Mos Eisley style) for Archangel #1. I have no specific 3D software to create it and the multitude of polygons would make it too tedious if I had to create it manually (all those vertices and their decimals ). Would somebody do it for me? If yes, I'll mail you the required dimensions and customized texture I've created for it.
Thanks in advance.

I'll do it no bother.
Actually designing your 3dos in wdfuse and pasting the coordinates out of the lev file into a 3do file is actually quite easy. Just mail me barry.brien@gmail.com

Thanks Barry, I just sent you a mail. copying from WDFUSE is good to get the coordinates of the object's base, but what about the remaining vertices composing the hemisphere? I forgot all the math formulas I learnt at high school to do this. The final object should contain about 50 polygons...

For a sphere it's easy as the y coordinates would be the same as the x or z coordinates, relatively at least.

Sorry, badly explained. But By creating a series of polygons, each relative smaller than the last, one can create a 2d plan of the sphere, or dome, and then substitute z co-ords for y co-ords when writing out the 3rd dimensions.

Wow. I see what you mean now. I never thought of doing that! Thanks for the tip. And thanks for the stuff you sent me. Your dome could be useful. I will reply this week-end. Cheers.

Or he could model it in Blender or something, write it out to a text-based format and then hand-translate it to 3do. Then he doesn't have to make all the coods by hand.
