Could we have the option to control the amount on drift that occurs when the player releases the arrow keys. It seems way too much on the current version but this may just be because of the new mouse look but the option to lessen and switch it off would be great.

I've gotten so used to it that I really don't notice it anymore. At any rate, an option to tighten it up (except on slippery surfaces) is certainly doable.

Good stuff. Also will we still be able to stand the very very very tip of a ledge? The 'no drift' is important in that too.

The drift (or lack of it) shouldn't effect the collision detection in any way.

In the original Dark Forces, there becomes less of a drift when you have the ice cleats equipped.

Even on normal ground? I never really messed with the cleats much, so I'm not sure. All I know is that they made ice work about the same as normal ground.

Yes; I had to compensate for this during my speedrun. Making test videos and comparing the frame counts between them shows that the ice cleats reduce your drift by a factor of two, even in an at-rest body of water.
