I should know this by now, being a longterm veteran here, but how do you map keys in Dark Forces? It didn't matter so much when I used it on the mac because my keyboard has a numerical pad, but my laptop does not. I can use the pageup and pagedown buttons to look up and down, but I don't know if there is one to return the view to centered position.
So is there a key I'm forgetting about or is there a way to map out just that one function?

View center is the one function that was left out of the setup program's keymapping function. You can change it with a hex editor, though. Look around a bit, I remember there was a post in some random tech forum describing specifically what you need to change (along with a list of all the keyboard's scan codes for HEX).
EDIT: I knew that sounded familiar . . . I posted some help on the same topic just a while back, here Hope it helps.

Thank you, I'll give that a look later.
