Guys! You may not remember me, but I remember many of you, from who I learned so much about DF editing YEARS ago.
The recent release of DF on GOG brought me back here out of curiosity--I've been in the General Discussions forum a bit with Darth Oosha encouraging my musings about releasing the partial levels I worked so long on.
So I have Boxer on my Macbook which runs a great PC version of DF, but I'm wondering if any of you know how I might be able to run fan-made levels on it? The answer may be "forget it, and use Dosbox instead."

I would also like to know about this. I have tried on dosbox and Boxer as well.
I take the entire download folder and put it in C>DARK and it will only run the normal game. I have tried swapping the .gob files and .lfd files too which causes it to crash. Any ideas or insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Wow, been a long time since I've been back here. Feels good.
I think I remember I was able to work a way around it by modifying the script that DOSBox runs to run the game. Sure it won't run the level automatically and will still have to type it in manually but it worked well enough. I'll look at it later when I have a moment.

Guys! The team's been working on it on another thread...

With their advice, I've been able to run fan-made levels flawlessly. I can't run the Mac version of DF, but I'll take this arrangement anyday vs. not being able to run DF at all.
Good luck!
