For somebody who hasn't played either one before,
Which is better: Halo or Deus Ex 2?
Which is better: Call of Duty or Day of Defeat or Battlefield 1942 or Allied Assault?
Is Deadly Dozen Pacific Theatre any good?

Well, I haven't played Dues Ex 2 (or 1) but Halo is indeed everything it is cranked up to be. Multiplayer is great, (though Bots would have been nice) single player is great, it does not have many puzzles and you are never very far from finding an enemy, and the Co-op is incredible. I would say Halo is a must have.
BTW, are you looking at this for XBox or PC. If it is PC, I don't really know what Halo would be like.

Deus Ex 2 isn't out, yet, is it? Anyway, doesn't matter... no matter how bad it might be (and it's probably good), it has to be better than Halo. Halo is nothing it was hyped up to be. Slow, ugly, and with a terrible story. Boring, too. Try Chrome instead - it's usually described "as Halo, but fun". And it is. It's also faster and looks better. Don't know about the story, though.
Call of Duty and Allied Assault are single player games. Battlefield 1942 is a multiplayer game. Comparing them isn't really possible.
I haven't heard of the other games, so I doubt they're any good if they're already out.

How can you say Halo is boring. Its GREAT. And it does have a good story. Have you even played the whole game or read the books? It also has GREAT multiplayer.
I heard that lots of people were disappointed with the Deus Ex Invisible War Demos, but I havent played it myself.

Well, if your talking about online multiplayer I might agree with you, though on the X-Box I like multiplayer, though it can get boring if two people with different skills are playing.
Also, on a side note, a slap is almost always open handed, I suspect you were joking, but if you truly didn't understand since english is not your mother toungue, then that is Tom's Brief Lesson.
