ok i have no idea what a .html is and how to make one.
to get my project page to start to work i need to replace the index.html.

can some one help me?

Html stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, and there are numerous tutorials to get you started off... I'll link to a few lists of them in a moment...

You can also try doing it yourself. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Cold Fusion (or whatever it's called), etc etc can all generate web pages in the HTML format. (Though I HIGHLY do not recommend Word... legend has it the HTML files it generates suck. )

Or, you could edit the files by hand in Notepad, although this means you have to learn how to code in HTML... but that offers the most control over the content of your webpage.

Also, if you decide to learn HTML you may come across something known as "CSS". I suggest you try to take the time to learn this too, if you can. It will make your webpages tons better if you take advantage of it.

And then if you want to REALLY go all out, you can try learning some JavaScript, which will allow you to add (relatively) dynamic content to your pages if you wish...

BTW, I suggest Google to look up HTML tutorials.

Of course, this is all moot if you don't want to learn it...

I think in the case of something as simple as a project page, Microsoft Word would do fine.

hay my project page is now up-dated and running but i whant to make it a few pages lone for their is two levels so how can i do that and how do i put screenshots on the page thay always come up as X

ok never mind i just lerned how to do HTML in notepad so i've made a good page and the screenshots work but how do you make muti-page HTML do you just link them to one another

You don't use the entire link, like http://df-21.net/blah/foo.html
That's called an absolute link.

Use relative links, like so:

foo.html
../blah/foo.html
