Does anyone know a way to create a diagonal line of shading across a wall?

That should give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.

You'd probably have to create your own texture(s) with a diagonal portion of the texture darkened.

Alright! I can almost be of some help on the Levels & Editing forum!

You'd only have to alter the lights in a sample WDFUSE project, take 2 screenshots, and splice them together down the diagonal. So you don't have to map all the colors by yourself. That, at least, is something.

Or use a 3DO that cuts off the diagonal line on the front texture. Or erase that part of the BM and make a transparent texture on an extra adjoin.

I think that might be the best method to making new textures...

seriosly dude, making textures isn't that hard, editing textures is easier, darkining part of a texture is a piece of cake.

I hate making my own textures. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to making them look right.

But, if I want my levels to look cool, it must be done.

Darken the texture? Wouldn't you just use different lighting levels for the foreground and background textured walls? Or change the wall lighting behind the 3DO, with the 3DO using the sector lighting?
