This one might have been solved before but here it goes anyway...

Recently (within the last 30 minutes of this post) I have been getting an error in DF:

Code:
File: c:\proj\jedi\main\main.c  Line, 1618,  Assert: Could not load level
Available memory 2808K  Largest block 8192K

This error first triggered when I was texturing a room and still had a multiselection in Wdfuse so I thought to clear the multiselection. Strangely that worked but I got it when texturing the same room but this time the base of some stairs. This time though I didn't have the multiselection. Then I thought to close Wdfuse all together and it solved the problem.

I don't think Wdfuse could be the problem because I didn't think it actually messed with the DF code (as hinted in the error by main.c - C source code I presume). Could it be a bad segment of code that fixes itself periodically? I'm stumped.

Also, somtimes when I edit my level I get:

Code:
List index out of bounds

I don't think this ties in with the other error (as this one started before the other one, but ever since DF has ended with a bunch of text on the DOS screen right before it closes wheras it didn't before.

Anyone know how to fix either of them?

The latter one seems to be a simple error with calculating verticies within WDFUSE. I've gotten it plenty of times, (particularly when adding verticies), and it seems to have no impact on anything else. I just ignore it; if it becomes too bothersome, close WDFUSE, reboot your computer, and open up the project again.

I've gotten the former of the errors before, though I do not remember exactlywhat solves it; I think it was one of the ones where Windows was having a mis-communication issue when trying to emulate DOS. As above, try rebooting the computer (to restore all the system resources to "fresh"), and perhaps it might work better. (I've gotten this error with numerous levels, usually large ones such as PtHD and AoNS)

Ok... I'll try rebooting and hopefully that error won't appear again for a while.

The size of the level might have something to do with it but I'm not so sure as the GOB is only 1,120KB or something like that. That is not that large compared to some levels (although it is larger than some already).

Yeah, sorry about that. Around that time, I had taken control of all the world's silicon for my Incredible BioSilico Humanoid Project. Won't happen again.
