Well... despite getting DF working again I think I will also skip this weeks compitition. I mean, how can someone compete with those shots  
Anyway, nice shots Barry. It really looks quite a lot like Coruscant and 10X better than the DF version.

I've already been wowed by the bright lights of the city, but that moody grey shot of the shuttle is easily the coolest DF screen I've seen for a while. I hope it looks as good when its moving.

I respectfully request that this shot replace Barry's first one, since they are of the same area -- I've just been making a few adjustments to that section.
(Otherwise, I suppose we could compete, but that seems kind of silly.)

A fair question. We're all busy, so things have been going slowly, as usual, but not stopped. That picture represents the most DT4 level editing I myself has done in a while. But I have been working on cutscenes for DT3, making good progress. My goal is to make DT3's cutscenes the best for any DF level, period.
Patrick has been working on the 2nd part of DT3, with some new waxes and textures and such. He also has run into a bad snag, as his Mac editor keeps corrupting it, and WDFuse can't even open the level up (an index out of bounds error - see whichever thread that is.)
Right now I'm not sure what Barry's been up to lately, as his real life has been busy. But I'm sure he plugs away at DT4 when he can.

Hi all. Glad you all like the shots. Yeah I've been busy over the last few months. I moved out of home so I haven't really had a chance to touch DT4 in a while. Don't worry, I did get a huge amount of work done over the summer, and I reckon the vast majority of the work is complete. As to when this level gets released, We'll have to wait until DT3 is done. That could be a while, or could be relatively soon. From what I've seen of it so far it seems to be going very well. The wait will be worth it. As for what Matt said about the cutscenes being the best in DF, well I can't disagree there. They're amazing.

If the wait for DT III might take a while, would it be too much to ask for another trailer for DT IV made with the full, complete level?
Also, why wasn't the first trailer hosted here? If any of the admin want to, I can upload or E-mail it to who's interested (I've well preserved my copy)

I've been thinking of doing a new trailer for a while. The problem is I can't find a screen capture program that'll work with dos. I need to find a program that'll copy in gameplay into avi or some other video format. I don't to use my digital camera again as the results very very poor last time. Can anybody help me?

Aren't there programs designed for capturing screens for movies, and not games? I think I recall hearing about one that would work with DOS, though it would seriously slow down the system, but still allow you to get the minute or so needed for a new trailer.

I totally forgot to respond to the question about the DT trailer. Sheeshkabob.
If it's alright with the Dark Tide team (PH, MH, BB) -- and if either they or NTK (hey, that rhymed!) can find the time to upload it -- it'd be quite alright by me to have the trailer on DF-21. I think I'd likely place it in the Demo Shed; that'd seem to be where it most rightfully would belong.
